The award highlights the methods used and the results obtained in soil conservation, carbon sequestration, reduction of CO2 emissions, farm economics and territorial development.
In a Mediterranean climate, with an undulating relief of medium and steep slopes, the Herdade lives in the Alentejo montado, parish of Ciborro, Montemor-o-Novo. We are a family business, with a high quality agricultural and livestock activity. We are dedicated to conserving and improving soil. We invest, and we focus on bringing benefits to agriculture and society. We do it with all those who work and have worked, directly and indirectly, and contribute positively to being here.
